My main way to keep myself organized is to throw away things I don't need and to put the things I use most in places where I can easily get to them. In regards to software, I've actually found the <a href="http://journler.com/" rel="nofollow">Journler application</a> to be really helpful in keeping me organized. It's also a great substitution for my need for a Livejournal account (and another perk is that the application is free). Those are some good suggestions!
